What is the difference between the Small and the Medium/Large?

The main differences are size and fit.

  • Medium/Large: Designed for taller and broader users (173 cm – 193 cm, up to 150 kg).
  • Small: Fits users between 152 cm and 173 cm (up to 136 kg).
Which size is right for me?

The Standing Mate comes in two sizes.
The Small fits users between 5'0" and 5'8" (152–173 cm) with a weight capacity of 300 lbs.
The Medium/Large fits users between 5'8" and 6'4" (173–193 cm) with a weight capacity of 330 lbs.
If you're exactly 5'8", we generally recommend sizing up to the Medium/Large, as it offers a bit more room and is typically more comfortable for users at the height boundary. The Small can still work well if you have a slimmer build or prefer a more compact fit.

What is the gas lift size for the Standing Mate Small and Medium/Large?

The Standing Mate is available with two gas lift options:
Small Size:120Y7 gas lift (115mm stroke)
Medium/Large Size:150Y7 gas lift (145mm stroke)
The Medium/Large size features a longer gas lift to better accommodate taller users and higher standing desk setups.

Is this sit stand desk chair available in other colors?

Only dark grey for now.

The back support frame won't stay locked – is this a defect?

Not likely. This adjustable standing chair uses a step-by-step ratchet backrest adjustment mechanism. Please try this:

  • Reset: Push the backrest all the way down.
  • Lift gradually: Pull up one click at a time — you'll hear a 'click' at each locked position.
  • Don't skip to the top: Pulling directly to max height auto-resets the lock, causing it to slide back down.

Try lifting to the middle position first to test. Still not working? Contact our after-sales team for an adjustment video, and we'll send a replacement backrest bracket right away.

Can this sit stand office chair be fitted with armrests,heightening wheel or a footrest?

The Standing Mate is specifically designed without armrests or a footrest to allow unrestricted movement and smooth transitions between sitting, perching, and standing.
Adding these accessories is not recommended, as they may interfere with the intended ergonomic experience.
heightening wheels are also not recommended, as increasing the chair height could affect stability and safety.
